Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Café Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience for every visitor. Your day may include:

  • Delivering warm, welcoming, and attentive service

  • Maintaining a clean and inviting café environment

  • Supporting opening and closing procedures as directed

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of food items

  • Ensuring food displays are presented to a high standard

  • Operating the POS system and handling cash confidently

  • Following safe food handling and hygiene practices

No two days are the same in our café, and your friendly attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn will help you shine in this dynamic role.  Every shift is an opportunity to make a positive impact on our community. You’ll be the friendly face behind the counter and the upbeat voice that helps our members feel valued.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking team members who bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine commitment to great customer service. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

  • Strong customer service experience in a similar environment which is busy and fast-paced

  • A people-first mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)

  • Current HLTAID009 CPR certification

  • Food Handling Level 1 (desirable)
